THE GAAAYS IN SPAAACE: TRAVELING TRANS FLAG INITIATIVE

The Gaaays In Spaaace: Traveling Trans Flag Initiative was created to spark a conversation about trans rights in America and to use a symbol, in this case a 12 foot by 8 foot trans flag, in order to galvanize allies and institutions into taking real action based on the input of trans people in order to change the realities of trans experience.

The flag will travel across the country from event to event where actors, politicians and aerospace leaders will sign the flag and make a short video expressing their support for trans rights. The second round of traveling will be when we fly the flag over various high profile government buildings with the goal of getting the flag flown over the whitehouse.

And finally the flag will tour various queer museum around the country before making its final home in a queer museum in our nations capital.

All along the way, during these journeys, we will be speaking with activists and educating people in power about our needs as trans bodies in a cis-dominated world.
