CONFIRMATION OF 501(C)(3) STATUS OF GAAAYS IN SPAAACE

GAAAYS IN SPAAACE (GIS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in both science fiction storytelling as well as in the actual space industry.

GIS maintains an active 501 (c)(3) non-profit status and works with a certified accountant to maintain on time IRS filings.

As GAAAYS IN SPAAACE continues to grow as an organization, we've implemented internal quality control procedures to enhance our accountability and transparency of business operations.

Please find the documentation below confirming that we are up to date with all of our required government filings.

You will see our IRS Determination Letter for our Federal filings, the California Secretary of State & the California Attorney General for that state’s filings, the New York Attorney General’s Charities Bureau as a registered out-of-state charity, and the Pennsylvania Secretary of State as a registered out-of-state nonprofit corporation.

Please note that we have been granted a filing‑deadline extension from the IRS and the California Attorney General for our filings for the 2022-23 accounting year. Extensions such as these are both routine and perfectly legal. And they do not indicate any change in our status as a verified, active and in good standing nonprofit organization.
